Country fried cubed steak with onions

Country Fried Cubed Steak
Printable Recipe

cubed steak
flour
salt and pepper
canola oil
onions optional

I cook mine in an electric frying pan at 375 degrees
add at least 1/2 inch of oil in pan
preheat
wash pat dry cubed steak
salt and pepper
dredge in flour

Once preheated fry in pan. Important! Do not turn meat resist the urge to do so. If you turn too quickly the flour crust will fall off.  When edges of meat are browning then gently lift with fork to turn. Brown other side.  Second side will brown deeper and cook quicker than first side. The pan will have a sizzle and you will know when to lift meat out.
Drain off some of the oil you only need a little to cook the onions in.
You may then cook onions until browned slightly.

You don't have to cook onion and if you don't that oil will be very flavorful and make wonderful gravy.

Easy Banana Pudding

This is the easy recipe
I use 1 large vanilla pudding mix that you **cook**
(because I like my cookies to get a little soft if you do not add instant pudding)
1 box of Nilla Vanilla Wafers
Bananas

I know this will sound like my grandmother when she would say use a pinch of this and a little of this but:
Cook pudding according to package directions
I like to cook mine in microwave
cook 8 minutes stirring every 2 minutes
until thickened....

Remove from microwave let cool some maybe 5 to 10 minutes
While it is cooling do the following:

Layer bottom of bowl with wafers
peel and slice bananas as many as you want for that layer
repeat until you have a much as you want
Pour pudding over layers in bowl
Sit to cool before placing in refrigerator...
Easy but delicious
