Easy Cobblers






Don't you just love a recipe that is quick and easy? I know I do.  This recipe could be fixed with basically any fruit you would want in a cobbler.

Peach Cobbler

 Ingredients

1 stick butter
1-2 large cans (or quarts of home canned) fruit, 
such as peach, pear, apple etc.
note***you may use fresh fruit see directions below***
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
melt stick of butter in baking dish

mix together in bowl flour, sugar, milk and vanilla
a wisk works great for this

mix flour, sugar, milk and vanilla

Drain canned fruit
pour fruit evenly into pan with melted butter
pour batter evenly over fruit in pan
Bake: 1 hr and 20 minutes to 1 1/2 hours
until light golden brown
Enjoy hot with your favorite vanilla ice cream it is delicious!
Carly's Spooky Pear Cobbler

***note***
If using fresh fruit
peel, core, pit etc prepare your fruit
make a syrup in pot with 2 cups water, 1 cup granulated sugar
stir to dissolve
slice and add prepared fruit
cook stirring occasionally
do not cook completely or mushy because remember you will be baking this fruit in cobbler.
drain and use in recipe same as canned above.
