Butterscotch, Caramel, Oatmeal, Walnut Cookies



These are extremely rich, chewy and delicious!

 

 

 

Preheat Oven to 350 
**(your oven may not cook as quick as mine so you may be able to use 375 degrees)**

 Ingredients

2 sticks softened butter
3/4 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups plain flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda
 1 cup Old Fashioned Oats (I used Quaker)

1 Bag Butterscotch Morsels
1/4 cup Kraft Caramel Bits 
2 tsp. real vanilla

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Beat with mixer:
Beat butter until whipped
Add Sugars and beat well
Add Eggs one at a time mixing well
Sift flour with salt and baking soda
Mix Flour a little at a time until mixed well
Add  Oats mixing well.

Stir with wooden spoon:
Add Butterscotch, Caramel Bits, Chopped Walnuts and vanilla flavoring until well mixed.

Drop by rounded teaspoon onto baking sheet
Bake 8-12 minutes or until edges are browned and center is lightly browned/tan

Remove from oven to cooling rack 
Cool for 5 minutes
Carefully remove cookies from pan to cooling rack to cool

Recipe makes about 5 dozen cookies

Store in cookie jar

**I am sure you can cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup each for a not so sweet cookie, the choice is yours" 

There is always something cooking in the kitchen.  I have only one problem, and that is
getting a picture before someone starts to eat what is cooked.  I guess that is a good problem to have.
