Quick Tomato Pasta Sauce






Ingredients
1-- 28 oz. can Cento (the best canned) whole peeled tomatoes 
1/2 cup chopped onion (I like onion)
Optional:  1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
2 cloves minced garlic
4 large leaves fresh Basil or 1/2 tsp. dried
Pinch dried Oregano or 1/2 tsp. 
Pinch Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tbs. Olive Oil
Salt to taste

Instructions
Open tomatoes drain (save juice to use in another recipe later), place in medium bowl, squish & pull tomatoes apart with your hands.
Heat olive oil in medium frying pan
Add Red Pepper Flakes to pan
Add and saute onions and garlic for a short while, just until onions become somewhat translucent.
Add the rest of ingredients, simmer for a few minutes then taste add salt if needed.

Simmer until ingredients are cooked and sauce has thickened a little more.
Add meatballs if you wish
Serve with pasta of your choice.
