Angela Brown
Congratulations Angela I know you will enjoy this flour!

I made these biscuits the other night and let me tell you they were fantastic!
I don't brag about my cooking, I hope others will do that for me but have to this time.
King Arthur Self-Rising Flour is EXCELLENT!

I wish you could grab one and taste!

Coated these chicken breast and fried again excellent!

You may think that all we eat is gravy and fried foods, but we don't I have saved up these pictures haven't had time for baking much due to all of the canning but these are just a few things cooked using the flour.
I can tell you I sure will use King Arthur Flour....

Sorry: forgot to get pic of fried okra
I used both the flour and yellow corn meal
Yes again it was fabulous!

My last canner load was sweet potatoes
Wash, peel, chop into large chunks (do not mash! Mashed potatoes are not safe to can)
Cook short while 5 to 9 minutes but you do not want them fork tender
Make a light sugar syrup, stir heat until almost boiling
Place potatoes into jars, Ladle syrup leaving 1 to 1 1/2 in space at top
Place in Canner  cook at 11 lbs of pressure for 90 minutes
cool until pressure is out sit for 10 minutes
remove lid and let stand a few minutes then remove jars

and before that

Yum it is good and healthy
When I get a minute to bake will review that as well....
Thanks to all who entered the contest and follow you are dear to me.

Canning Vegetable Soup

Vegetable Soup
tomatoes, potatoes, onions, peppers, carrots, green beans, sweet peas, green lima beans, fresh sweet corn, fresh okra, fresh cabbage.  This is going to be a quick helper for me this Winter when I want to be creating, sewing, crafting...I can't wait!
Fresh Green Lima Beans
Don't they look beautiful in the canner?  Such a vibrant color

Oh my fresh okra, can't be beat

Don't you just love how the canned goods look, temporarily at least on the Hoosier Cabinet?

Beautiful and all vegetables canned

My problem is that with this batch the lima beans lost some of their water and I tried to troubleshoot to solve the problem but to no avail...will freeze if I have too...I just wanted to try it at least once because I remember my Grand Mama Cora canning her beans.

Have a great rest of the week!

Country Fried Pork Steaks

This may not be the healthiest meal to eat but if you don't eat it a lot it can be enjoyed without guilt.
Wonderful crispy boneless cubed pork chop or steak
creamed potatoes with real butter and just a little bit of cream
gravy made with these cubed pork chops is so flavorful.
a crisp garden salad
"Delicious"

First clean your sink thoroughly
I use my homemade cleaner by Leslie Reichert
How to make found  here

Wash and place on flat surface I use my sink.
Season as you wish.
I really like
Janes Krazy Mixed-Up Salt
I love the herbs, spices onion and garlic flavor it adds to meats, soups, even putting on a baking potato
You can rub a little bit of shortening or olive oil on potato, season with this wrap in foil and bake in oven...delicious!

Clean your sink again or the surface you placed the meat on to season.
I used King Arthur Self-Rising Flour
Flour pork coating after you have washed and seasoned..
(do not dry this helps flour to stay on and makes crisp coating)
Fry in just enough oil to cover and on medium to medium high setting or at 375degrees in an electric frying pan...I love the electric frying pan it makes some of the crispiest fried foods in a minimal amount of oil and less mess on your stove....

Add a fresh garden salad and you have a wonderful meal.

The King Arthur Flour makes a wonderful coating and the gravy was excellent!

NEW
 SELF-RISING FLOUR

Self-rising flour, a blend of flour, baking powder, and salt, is a Southern staple. And now, we’ve created our own King Arthur Unbleached Self-Rising Flour. Milled from a lower-protein wheat than all-purpose flour, it produces softer, more tender baked goods, including biscuits, pancakes, cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries, and more.
Self-rising flour’s main point of distinction may very well be in its name: self-rising. This convenient flour eliminates two steps in many of your favorite recipes: adding the baking powder, and adding the salt. Both are already in the flour.
