Mississippi Mud Cake

    
I have made this brownie like cake since 1974 and it is so easy and delicious.
Yes I am still on my chocolate kick, still cleaning out my recipe files trying to organize.
So I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do.


Mississippi Mud Cake Recipe


Ingredients


2 sticks butter
1/2 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch salt
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
miniature marshmallows
chocolate frosting

Instructions:


Melt butter and cocoa together, remove from heat and stir in sugar and beaten eggs;  mix well.  Add flour, salt, chopped nuts and vanilla;  mix well, spoon batter into a greased 13" x 9" x 2" pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out.  Sprinkle marshmallows on top of warm cake; cover with your favorite chocolate frosting.
