See it is very simple!

Medium Sauce

For a medium sauce: Double the flour  use
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons flour

Follow instructions above steps 4-7 for thin white sauce.

Thick Sauce

For a thick sauce: 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup flour

Follow instructions for thin sauce steps 4-7
I like the thin sauce for the cheese because it is smoother and coats your vegetables better.
