I know you've probably made these but wanted to share them anyway. I just tripled my peanut butter recipe and changed the flavoring to make these a little different.
I love chocolate covered cherries so I thought I'd add cherries to the softened chocolate kisses on some.
This recipe makes approximately 70 cookies. Adjust to your needed quantity.
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients
3 cups peanut butter
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 -1 Tsp. Almond Extract
Hershey's Kisses
Optional maraschino cherries
Instructions
Unwrap candy kisses.
Place all ingredients into stand mixer bowl. Mix thoroughly. Using a tsp or 1- 1 1/2 inch cookie scoop make little balls place on very lightly oiled cookie sheet.
Bake 8 - 10 minutes.
Remove from oven cool on rack 2 minutes.
Place a candy kiss in the center of each warm cookie. They will melt down some.
Remove to wire rack to cool.
This little addition of Maraschino Cherries makes for a totally different taste. The Almond Flavoring also makes these give a chocolate covered cherry taste.
Just place a cherry into the center of the candy kiss when it has softened from the heat of the candy kiss.
Simple recipes with few ingredients that are kept in the pantry are always the best.
I will say this these are extremely rich one will probably be enough.
Enjoy!
