Carly and I canned quite a few tomatoes the other day. I knew we would be totally busy so I put on a Rib Roast on the grill. When you have a man around the house there has to be something cooking to make them happy that's for sure.

Fry them of course
Catie had been away and wanted pork chops so I cooked these on another day, just thought I would throw it in with this post...just so.
Got that covered, now on to canning.

That night I put up 50 ears of corn. I really need to put up more than that.
I forget each year how many ears it takes to make cream style corn...It does take 7 or 8 large ears to
make a quart.
I put up 2 bushels of Dixie Lee Peas this year also.
I am going to make my first pickles tomorrow.
We have a tradition of buying our pickles from Lancaster County, PA because we love those so much but this time I am going to make my own wish me luck...
