Homemade Dry Onion Soup Mix

Homemade Dry Onion Soup Mix
Simple, Easy, Handy!

I must confess for years and years I've purchased Lipton's Dry Onion Soup Mix.  It has been almost a staple in my pantry.  You know the kind of item that you want on hand for a quick ingredient to add flavor to so many dishes.  I also must confess that I never use it for making soup.  I'd rather make my own fresh onion soup.
I have made my share of pot roasts with the stuff over the years that and cream of mushroom soup of course added to a slow cooker.  I should own stock in Campbells and Lipton.
It has taken me a number of years to just flat say I'm tired of running out of the dry onion soup. Finally not too many months ago I came up with not so ingenious idea but it is 'OH SO GOOD".

Ingredients

1-3.75 oz. jar Wylers Beef Granules
1 1/2 cups dry minced onions
1/3 cup onion powder
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 Tbs. corn starch

Mix all ingredients together well and store in pantry or cabinet in a container or plastic
storage bag until use.

**5 Tbs. = 1 Lipton Dry Onion Soup Packet
Which is a heaping 1/3 cup.

This mix makes approximately 6 packets of the store bought packets.

Are you hungry?
I sure am!

Enjoy!
