Easy Roast Crock Pot Cooking


Do you have a slow cooker? 
 That's all you need to fix this tender, pull-apart roast overnight.


Easy Rump Roast or Chuck Roast


Ingredients

3 1/2 - 4 lb. Beef Roast  Rump or Chuck Roast
1 can of mushroom soup
1 pkg dry onion soup mix


Instructions

The night before you go to bed:

Add the following to the slow cooker:

Put the roast, fat side up, into the cooker

1 can cream of mushroom soup
 
Spoon over the top of the roast

1 envelope dry onion soup mix or make your own homemade dry onion soup mix

Sprinkle it over the top

Set your slow cooker on low

That's it, Don't add any water or broth

Cook on low overnight

Cook longer if you need it more tender, but it's doubtful you will.

*Substitution notes* If you don't have any of the dry soups, you can just add a cup of water or broth to the bottom of the slow cooker

If you don't have any of the soups

You can make a homemade dry onion soup mix using my recipe

Also, an equivalent of homemade mushroom soup: 
Do you have fresh mushrooms? Or canned if that's all you have?  Fresh cream?  Lightly Saute
The mushrooms in butter or olive oil add fresh cream thicken with flour slurry if you need cream of mushroom soup...You can always use broth, chicken, or beef to cook and season to your taste, of course

Or You Could:
Just add a cup of water or beef broth to the bottom of the slow cooker.  In The Morning, you may have to do the following:
 Thicken the gravy without having used the canned soup overnight, with:
A flour or cornstarch slurry, 
And even add your own fresh-cut onions you've browned to perfection.
