CHEF'S Maslin Pan Product Review

Chef's Catalog has been one of my favorite online shops for years.  Recently, they closed down, and it is with sadness that I review one of the items I was able to buy before they closed.  Did you shop with them?  I will have to find a new favorite kitchen store, but it won't be the same.

Chef's started in 1979 and sold upscale cookware, cutlery, kitchen electronics, and tools. John Medved bought the store in 2004 from The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. Target bought Chefs in 2013.

This is fast becoming one of my all-time favorite pots!  It is the CHEFS Maslin Pan with Lid, 6-quart.  I love it! Join me as I do a product review.

Details
Mirror-finished 18/10 stainless steel body with an encapsulated base for fast and even heating.
Interior etched with U.S. standard cup and quart measurements.  I love that!
Sloped sides allow maximum evaporation for making jam or simmering soup
Rolled rim and built-in spout for dripless pouring
Stay-cool bail handle and helper handle
Versatile 6-quart capacity
Tempered glass lid with vent is oven-safe to 350 degrees F
Suitable for all cooktops, including induction
Dishwasher safe

The design is just out of this world.  I love the shape, smaller at the bottom, so it fits smaller cooking elements.  The lid slides in easily under the handle.  Speaking of the handle, the cool bail handle works wonderfully and doesn't get too hot to use!  I also love the helper handle.  You may have to use a hot pad if you've been heating on the stove for hours, but chances are you won't.
It truly does heat up quickly.

The pouring spout works well.
The pot is easy to handle and carry

I have cooked many things in this pot/pan, and I haven't had it for a month.  While waiting to find just the spot to store it, I kept finding myself using it over and over again!
