KitchenAid Pouring Shield & Metro Beater Blade Reviews

KitchenAid

I really like my Kitchenaid Mixer,  In fact I don't know how I ever got along without it.  I've had this mixer for so long now and have really used it.  They are very sturdy and can be repaired but I think I might need a new one.  Aren't the colors gorgeous?  Which is your favorite?

I got a little side tracked thinking about a new one!  The truth is, well with the model I have at least,  there is a problem that I encounter every time I use it.  It is almost impossible to add ingredients to the mixer bowl with the head down.

The KitchenAid Pouring Shield
This little plastic 2 pc pouring shield works pretty well.  It is easy enough to clip together and use.  I have had this little thing more years than I can remember found it at an outlet store.

My results are

This little shield helps a lot!  I don't know if this 2 pc shield can still be purchased but I think there is a 1 pc available.

Metro Type Beater Blade

I found that either I am very impatient or maybe too busy to put up with things that could be improved.
I have another little problem with the kitchenaid mixers.  It is that the beater blades don't remove ingredients from the walls of the mixing bowl.
This takes time because you have to literally turn the machine off lift the head out of the bowl and your way to be scrape the sides of the mixing bowl.
A long time ago when they came out with the metro type beater blades I ordered one.  It is one of the best things that I've ever purchased in my life!

My results are

The metro type is the best beater ever.  You just don't ever have to scrape the bowl.

I love it!
